Channel 5 is televising a 10-episode football reality show. Cheerleaders (approximately 20 females, age 18 and above) are needed to appear in the show to cheer for the players from episode 4 onwards.
Episode 4 - 9 will feature a 6 simple cheering acts before the start of each match to boost the players' spirits. For the final episode, it will be a LIVE televised match. The cheerleaders are to perform for the live audience, as well as TV audiences at home, before the final match starts and during half-time break. Males can be included in the final episode to perform stunts and tossing acts.
Involvement period will be from 9th March - 30th May 2012 on weekends Saturday & Sunday (depending). With raised concerns about the Nationals happening in March, some cheerleaders may commit only from the beginning April to end May.

SPORTACCORD COUNCIL GIVES INTERNATIONAL CHEER UNION POSITIVE RECOMMENDATION
ORLANDO, Fla. (30 November 2011) —
On 24 November 2011, the International Cheer Union received a positive recommendation by the SportAccord Council. The recommendation is an important further step toward full membership rights in SportAccord, which will be voted on by the General Assembly at SportAccord’s annual convention in May. “We appreciate this action by SportAccord and believe it will only add to the international development of our sport, which is already expanding dramatically around the world,” said Karl Olson, ICU’s Secretary General. “We look forward to working with SportAccord over the next few weeks to finalize the membership process.”

Please note that athletes and coaches competing in any event sponsored or organized by the IFC (International Federation of Cheerleading) group will be prohibited from taking part in ICU competitions or competitions sanction by National Federations affiliated to ICU.

The 2011 ICU World Cheerleading Championships will be available to the world to see on a FREE WEBCAST. Coverage begins Friday 29 April 2011!
3 Quick Notes:
1. The FREE WEBCAST will begin with the ICU Opening Ceremonies and ICU Parade of Nations and will continue throughout the entire Championships. * Opening Ceremonies begin: Singapore time 4:00 AM on Friday 29 April 2011.
2. The FREE WEBCAST will be on a slight delay (approximately on a 1/2 hour delay) to allow the entire championship to remain in a "Video on Demand" format.. In this way, all completed portions of the ICU World Championships can be re-watched by the viewers around the world at anytime during the World Cheerleading Championships weekend.
3. The FREE WEBCAST player will be posted on the ICU Website just days prior to the Opening Ceremonies of the 2011 ICU World Cheerleading Championships!
