Dear World Organizations:

Once again, we're very excited about the upcoming 2010 China Cheerleading Open to be held 11 December 2010 in Beijing, People's Republic of China. This event will tie in a 1 day competition event for Chinese television, and also sightseeing tours including the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City (and more) for teams traveling to the event.

We are working closely with the China Sports Authorities on this very important event, and more details will follow shortly. However, for planning purposes, in the meantime we have enclosed
the "tentative" basic schedule of events to assist teams preparing for this seminal weekend of cheerleading in China.

More details to follow, and subject to change; but enclosed is the basic plan of events:

Thursday 9 December 2010 Teams arrive in Beijing, check into hotel.
Friday 10 December 2010 Team Open Practice, city tour of Beijing/shopping
Saturday 11 December 2010 2010 China Cheerleading Open Championship
Sunday 12 December 2010 Teams tour the Forbidden City, Summer Palace
Monday 13 December 2010 Teams leave Beijing to tour The Great Wall of China, return to hotel.
Tuesday 14 December 2010 Teams depart Beijing

The ICU is pleased to present the 2010 ICU World Championships WEBCAST this coming Saturday 24 April 2010!

The WEBCAST will Include behind-the-scene interviews, and World Championship National Team action from Disney's Wide World of Sport Milk House.

The World Championship WEBCAST (slightly delayed broadcast) will begin at approximately 12:00 AM Singapore Time (Friday midnight) (12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time - New York City Time Zone). Coverage will include behind-the-scenes interviews, the ICU Opening Ceremonies, the National Team Group Stunt & Coed Partner Stunt Competition, National Team Cheerdance Doubles, all National Team Elite & Premier Cheer Performances, all National Cheerdance Team Performances, the ICU award presentations, as well as the 2010 ICU Closing Ceremonies.

As Cheerobics has merged with the National Cheerleading Championships 2010 organised by Singapore Sports Council, the partials bids offered to champion teams of the various divisions will no longer be applicable.

DECS has expressed interest in representing Singapore in the ICU World Cheerleading Championships (WCC). They intend to send a Coed Premier Team and an All-Girl Group Stunt.

CAS is the ONLY authorised governing body in Singapore to send athletes to represent Singapore in the ICU World Cheerleading Championships. Besides the partials bids to the ICU Worlds offered to champion teams of Cheerobics 2010, CAS is offering local teams an opportunity to represent Singapore in ICU Worlds in the following divisions:

1. Partner Stunt - All Girl Group Stunt
2. Cheer Teams - All Girl Elite
3. Cheer Teams - All Girl Premier
4. Cheerdance Teams - Cheerdance Jazz
5. Cheerdance Teams -Cheerdance Hip Hop
6. Cheerdance Teams -Freestyle Cheerdance
7. Cheerdance Doubles - Cheerdance Jazz
8. Cheerdance Doubles -Cheerdance Hip Hop
9. Cheerdance Doubles -Freestyle Cheerdance

Please note that CAS will offer only administrative assistance to interested teams.

In the event if there is more than 1 team expressing interest in the same division, CAS will either:

1. Hold selections to select the best team to represent Singapore; or
2. Assist teams to reach an amicable settlement.

Due to the limited availability of accommodation available at the Athletes Village at Disney World Resort, teams are advised to express your interest by the deadline to secure accommodation, which is available only on first come first served basis.

The International Cheer Union World Cheerleading Championships will be held on Thursday and Friday, 22 - 23 April, 2010 at the Walt Disney World ® Resort at Orlando, Florida USA. Cheerleading Association (Singapore) will be sending teams to represent Singapore in this international event.
